Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated on Feb 1 2024.

CSS Clicker is committed to protecting the privacy of all visitors who use our site and applications, including older users above the age of 13 (“General Users”) and younger users under the age of 13 (“Children Users”), collectively referred to as “Users.” This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) is designed to provide transparency into CSS Clicker’s privacy practices and the principles governing the collection, use, and disclosure of information obtained through our various platforms—including our website (accessible at 'cssclicker.com'), mobile applications, and any publishing services—collectively referred to as the "CSS Clicker General Site." It also covers information we may collect from Children Users through our dedicated Kids Site.

The CSS Clicker General Site and the CSS Clicker Kids Site (together, the “CSS Clicker Site”) are owned and operated by CSS Clicker. By using the CSS Clicker General Site, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and consent to the processing, collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with its terms. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the CSS Clicker Site. Parents or legal guardians who allow their children to access the CSS Clicker Kids Site are deemed to have agreed to this Privacy Policy on their children’s behalf. For privacy practices specific to the CSS Clicker Kids Site and Children Users, please click here. For any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@cssclicker.com.

1. General Information

All features on the CSS Clicker Site are available without requiring user registration. No personal data (such as email addresses or phone numbers) is requested from Users. CSS Clicker may collect certain electronic data (e.g., IP addresses, cookies, or device IDs). When a User clicks to leave the CSS Clicker Kids Site, CSS Clicker may alert the User that they are exiting the Kids Site and that this Privacy Policy will no longer apply. Should a User provide personal data on any third-party website or application, such data will be processed under that site’s or application’s privacy statement. In such cases, CSS Clicker is not responsible as the Data Controller or Processor.

2. Data Collection and Its Purposes

Our servers automatically recognize visitors’ domain names and IP addresses. The CSS Clicker Site may collect anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify you but can be useful for marketing purposes or to improve our services. When your computer or mobile device contacts our web servers (for instance, when you visit the CSS Clicker Site), we automatically collect usage information, including details on how visitors navigate our pages, the number and frequency of visits, duration of stays, browser type, and referrer data.

Traffic data may also be shared with business partners and advertisers in an aggregate, anonymous format. Additionally, advertisers on the CSS Clicker General Site might use cookies to collect information for targeted advertising purposes. More details on the use of cookies are provided below.

3. Data Retention

CSS Clicker may retain user data for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Developing new features and improving the CSS Clicker Site;
  • Supporting customer service inquiries;
  • Enhancing the safety and security of the CSS Clicker Site;
  • Complying with legal obligations.

Your information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.

4. Third Party Games

This Privacy Policy does not extend to personal data processing by third-party game providers on the CSS Clicker Site. Any third-party game provider is responsible for ensuring their data processing complies with applicable data protection laws. Generally, CSS Clicker does not allow third-party content providers to collect personal data from Users. Should a third party collect any personal data, CSS Clicker will require compliance with applicable data protection regulations through contractual agreements.

5. Cookies

Like many websites, the CSS Clicker Site uses “cookies” — small text files stored on your device — as well as similar tracking technologies. In addition, third-party networks serving advertisements on the CSS Clicker Site (the “Advertisers”) may also use cookies.

Cookies help in remembering who you are by storing information on your device. There are two types:

  • Session Cookies: Deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent Cookies: Remain until they expire (which could be tomorrow, next week, or next month).

CSS Clicker and its Advertisers may use cookies (or similar technologies) to:

  • Operate and improve the CSS Clicker Site;
  • Authenticate your access;
  • Remember your preferences;
  • Measure the effectiveness of our offerings;
  • Customize the content provided to you; and
  • Serve targeted advertisements.

For details on cookies used on the CSS Clicker Kids Site, please see the Children Users section below. You may refuse or delete cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Instructions for doing so can typically be found on your browser vendor’s website.

6. Links to Third Party Websites

The CSS Clicker General Site intentionally links to third-party websites (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter, Kik) whose privacy policies govern your interactions with those sites. Some third-party games featured on both the CSS Clicker General Site and the CSS Clicker Kids Site may also link to external sites. Although CSS Clicker monitors these links for inappropriate content, we do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

7. Sharing Information

CSS Clicker may share your persistent identifiers with third parties, including business partners, under circumstances such as:

  • Security: Releasing information (including IP addresses) when legally required, at the request of governmental authorities, or to enforce compliance with policies or laws. Such disclosure may also occur when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CSS Clicker, its partners, customers, or others.
  • Aggregate Information: Sharing non-identifying, aggregated user statistics with third parties to describe our services to prospective partners.
  • Advertising: Sharing technical information (like IP addresses or device IDs) with advertising partners for behaviorally targeted advertising on the CSS Clicker General Site, or for serving contextual ads on the CSS Clicker Kids Site.

8. International Data Transfers

CSS Clicker may collaborate with third parties outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and may transfer your data to countries where these third parties are based. Such transfers will be conducted in accordance with EU standard contractual clauses, with your consent, or as necessary for contractual performance. For any questions regarding international data transfers, please contact us at support@cssclicker.com.

9. Children Users

Protecting the privacy of children is of utmost importance. To that end, CSS Clicker has created an age-appropriate experience for Children Users via the CSS Clicker Kids Site or through age-gating on the CSS Clicker General Site. Upon accessing these services, you may be required to confirm your age. Based on the information provided and your device settings, CSS Clicker does not process personal data of children below the age prescribed by relevant legislation.

The CSS Clicker Kids Site and age-gated experiences comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). These services do not request personal information from Children Users, do not require registration, and display only age-appropriate advertisements that are not behaviorally targeted. For more information on COPPA, please refer to this COPPA Guide.

10. Lawful Bases for Processing Personal Data

For users in the European Union (EU), CSS Clicker processes personal data only when a lawful basis exists under applicable EU laws. This includes processing:

  • When necessary for a legitimate interest (such as fraud prevention, service improvement, and security enhancement);
  • With your consent for specific purposes;
  • As required to fulfill contractual obligations; or
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object (see Section 11 for details). Examples of data processed under legitimate interests include network security data (IP addresses, device IDs), customer support data (email addresses), and usage analytics.

If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us as described in Section 12.

11. Individual Rights

CSS Clicker provides you with the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Deletion (“Right to be Forgotten”): You may request the deletion of your personal data. Please note that residual copies might remain on active servers or backups for purposes such as fraud prevention, analytics, legal compliance, or legitimate business needs.
  • Restriction of Processing: You may request that the processing of your personal data be limited instead of deleted, for instance while verifying its accuracy or during a legal dispute.
  • Data Portability: You have the right to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used format for transfer to another service.
  • Right to Object: You may object to the processing of your data for direct marketing or when processing is based on legitimate interests. To exercise this right, please provide specific reasons for your objection. Note that CSS Clicker may continue processing your data if it is necessary for legal claims or if compelling legitimate grounds exist.

If any request is deemed unfounded or excessive, we may reject it or charge a reasonable fee. Should we reject your request, we will inform you of the reasons and advise on possible remedies.
